AUTHENTICITY IS MY CURRENCY

Life is short and full of blisters.

The idea of hanging your heart on your sleeve stops a lot of us dead in our tracks. Progress is not a straight line. Some pages get written in fifteen minutes, others take years. You never know how long it will take to realize your inspiration. Some days you roll the rock all of the way up the hill just to sharpen your pencils. If you keep showing up, that is all that really matters.
I listen. I observe. There are dramas all around me, on the playground, in the supermarket, on a bus, in an office, and right in my own home as my daughters grow, as my wife balances her hopes and fears. People are struggling and surviving, laughing, grieving, screwing up, fixing things, celebrating, getting lost, having epiphanies. Everything is going on right under my nose.

My currency is authenticity, and I try to spend it wisely.

Thanks for being curious..
